A blog on evolution

And so began the weirdest phase of my transformation.

Why are we bored?

You know what? These are tough, stressful times for many. Wage levels are stagnating. Some people are worried about finding or keeping a job. If you don’t have a home, you look at your friends that do with envy and you’re pissed that you can’t afford one. If you have a home, you’re pissed that you have the burden of a credit at an inappropriate time, when home prices are in free-fall.

But forget about that crap. If we take away all the stress and anger, we have to ask ourselves: why are we soo .. fucking .. BORED!!!

We’re bored out of our minds everyday. We wake up bored, we take the same boring route to work, we bore ourselves to death at work. In the evening we have our boring routines that used to be fun once. We go to sleep bored and we don’t dream anymore. If we do, we have boring dreams. (Personally, I stopped dreaming of flying a while ago and I have lame levitating dreams).

What happened to us? It’s like a fuse burned in every person’s brain and we’re functioning on a backup circuit, on reduced efficiency. We have become adrenaline junkies, but it keeps getting harder and harder to be entertained by something.

Soo, hotshot, your life is in order and you have a fancy, well-paid job. What are your plans for tonight?
Expensive dinner? Shopping at the mall? Movie? :|
What? TELL ME! I need some fresh ideas, do you have any? What are you doing with all your money and how is it making you happy? Wouldn’t it be cool if we had a sixth sense and be able to smell FUN? “Sniff sniff .. fun at 3 o’clock. I’m there, dude!!!”.

As usual, thank you for reading my boring blog. I’m sure you have more interesting stuff to do right now. Or do you?
